SDG 5: Gender Equality
MSUN’s Gender and Development (GAD) programs advocate for gender equity in both academic and community settings. The university ensures that women and men have equal access to education, employment, leadership positions, and research opportunities. Through GAD training, policy advocacy, and community projects, MSUN promotes women’s empowerment, combats discrimination, and strengthens gender sensitivity across all departments. These initiatives cultivate an inclusive academic environment that celebrates diversity, respect, and equal participation in nation-building.
MSU at Naawan actively promotes Gender and Development (GAD) through policies, programs, and research that advance gender equality and women’s empowerment. The university conducts gender sensitivity trainings, community outreach, and gender needs assessments, and integrates GAD principles into instruction, research, and extension activities. Guided by the Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710) and national GAD frameworks, MSUN ensures inclusive participation, equitable opportunities, and a safe, respectful campus environment for all.
