Ms. Deshere Judena G. Preciado, GAD Coordinator and IPDM Director, was invited as a distinguished resource speaker for the Participatory Training on Community Needs Assessment, Gender Mainstreaming, and Conflict Mapping conducted under the Grow Talabaan Project.
MSU at Naawan GAD and IPDM, in collaboration with the GROW Talabaan Project, rolled out a participatory training on Gender Mainstreaming in Project Development, empowering community members from Naawan’s ten barangays to lead inclusive, gender-responsive, and transformative local initiatives.
The activity gathered participants from the ten beneficiary barangays of the Municipality of Naawan, providing a space for collaborative learning and capacity-building. In her session, Ms. Preciado delivered an insightful and comprehensive discussion on Gender Mainstreaming, emphasizing its essential role in ensuring inclusive development, equitable access to opportunities, and gender-responsive project implementation.
Her contribution greatly enriched the understanding of community members and strengthened their commitment to advancing gender awareness within their respective barangays. This engagement marks another significant step toward empowering local communities and supporting sustainable, people-centered development.
