The Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in partnership with the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM), successfully conducted a comprehensive two-day seminar-workshop on November 18–19, 2025 at NESB Room 103. The activity gathered GAD Focal Persons, unit representatives, and administrative staff to strengthen the University’s capacity in developing responsive, data-driven, and inclusive GAD Plans and Budgets.
Throughout the two-day event, participants engaged in in-depth discussions and hands-on workshops focusing on gender analysis, GAD planning processes, budgeting mechanisms, and the integration of sex-disaggregated data for evidence-based decision-making. The foundational sessions on gender concepts also provided a strong grounding in the principles of gender equality, inclusivity, and human rights—ensuring that all units are aligned with national GAD standards and MSUN’s goals for gender-responsive governance.
With the theme “Bridging Knowledge and Action: Strengthening GAD Planning and Budgeting Towards an Inclusive MSU Naawan,” the seminar-workshop emphasized the importance of linking theoretical understanding with practical application. Participants collaborated in crafting draft GAD Plans and Budgets for their respective units, reinforcing a shared commitment to promoting gender mainstreaming across the University.
This initiative marks another meaningful step toward empowering MSU Naawan’s workforce, enhancing institutional compliance, and fostering a campus community where equity, diversity, and inclusive development are fully embraced.
Together, we continue moving forward toward a more gender-responsive and inclusive MSUN.
