The Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubators (ATBI) of Central Mindanao University (CMU) and Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN) continued to advance their collaborative coincubation initiative on April 3, 2025, focusing on the exchange and implementation of tilapia and mushroom technologies.
As part of the initiative, over 200 large-sized fruiting bags were distributed to the Barangay Poblacion Farmers' Association of Naawan (BAPFAN). This effort not only provides direct support to the association but also serves as a practical assessment of mushroom cultivation productivity and feasibility under local conditions. The activity contributes to the ATBIs’ ongoing capacity-building programs, helping agri-aqua entrepreneurs enhance their technical skills and operational efficiency.
The coincubation program also facilitated a meaningful engagement with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Naawan, where the team held discussions with Municipal Agriculturist Manny Maglangit. The support of the local government remains instrumental in advancing agri-aqua development, ensuring that innovations are effectively implemented, and fostering sustainable enterprise growth within the community.
Through initiatives like this, CMU and MSUN ATBIs continue to strengthen the capacity of local agri-aqua entrepreneurs, promote sustainable practices, and ensure that technology-driven innovations directly benefit communities in Northern Mindanao.
