MSUN Supreme Student Council conducts Financial Integrity Seminar

To strengthen the financial literacy of student leaders, the Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN) Supreme Student Council (SSC), in collaboration with LGU Naawan, organized the seminar “Financial Integrity: A Seminar on Money Transparency, Spending with Accountability” on April 4, 2024, at the New Naawan Town Hall, Function Room.
In her opening remarks, OSSD Director, Assistant Professor Sylvia C. Labial, highlighted the importance of the seminar in equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for their roles in various student organizations.
Resource speaker Sir Renz P. Aguhob, CPA, MBA, discussed key elements of good governance, financial integrity, and financial management, emphasizing how crucial it is for student leaders to uphold transparency and accountability. His session provided practical guidance for fostering responsible financial practices, paving the way for better governance within the studentry.
The seminar brought together SSC officers, college and society treasurers, and auditors, who actively participated in interactive activities designed to test and reinforce their understanding of financial integrity principles.
The event was also attended by Local Youth Development Officer Sir Rolly Cheen C. Antigua, further supporting the initiative’s goal of instilling a strong sense of responsibility among student leaders in handling organizational finances. By promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership, the seminar reinforces fundamental principles of good governance and helps cultivate a culture of integrity among future leaders.
