The Mindanao State University at Naawan, through the Office of the Student Welfare (OSW), in partnership with the Office of the Guidance, Counseling, and Career Services (OGCCS) and the Student Peer Facilitator–KAABAG, is proudly conducting the Mental Health Awareness Seminar 2025 (Part 2), October 29, 2025, at the DARES Audio-Visual Room.
The seminar serves as a dedicated platform to uphold MSUN’s commitment to fostering a healthy and supportive learning environment for all students. With this year’s theme, “SAFE SPACES: Empowering Minds, Embracing Wellness,” the activity aims to deepen students’ understanding of mental health, promote mindfulness, and encourage emotional expression in a safe, non-judgmental setting. Through guided discussions, reflective sharing, and interactive learning sessions, participants are given the opportunity to explore practical and sustainable coping strategies that can help them navigate academic pressures, personal challenges, and everyday stressors.
This initiative underscores the university’s recognition of mental health as an essential component of student success and overall well-being. By providing avenues for open dialogue and professional guidance, MSUN continues to strengthen its mental health advocacy and equip students with the tools to build resilience and emotional balance.
Participants from the KAABAG organization, the Supreme Student Council (SSC), various student leaders from colleges and societies, and individual student attendees are actively taking part in this meaningful engagement. Their collective presence reflects a strong, unified call for holistic well-being, mental health awareness, and a campus community where every voice is heard and every student feels supported.
Through this seminar, MSUN reinforces its vision of creating a compassionate and empowered student body, one that values wellness, fosters empathy, and upholds safe spaces for all.
